To the distinguished great Rav, man of great elevation, issued from an illustrious family, raised among men, Chassid* who fears Hashem, possesses immense knowledge,

Greetings and blessing,
I had your news, with pleasure, through the great Rav, distinguished and erudite Chassid* who devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Ben Tzion Shemtov (emissary of the Rebbe in London), emissary of the Sages. He wrote to me that you study regularly the "Words of the living Elokim" — that is, the teaching of Chassidus*, the deep dimension of the Torah.
The deep dimension of the Torah is its soul, according to the expression of the Zohar. I am therefore certain that your study of Chassidus* will vivify that of the "body" of the Torah, which is its revealed part. And these two studies will reinforce your physical health. Indeed, in a Yid*, the material and the spiritual are profoundly imbricated.
On the occasion of the festival of Shavuos, the time of the giving and reception of the Torah, which approaches, I express to you my blessing, in the formulation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, that you receive it in a joyous and profound manner.

נעם לי לקבל פ"ש מכת"ר על ידי הרה"ג והרה"ח וו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצרכי ציבור באמונה וכו' וכו' מוהר"ר בן ציון שי' שם טוב שד"ר שכתב לי שיש לכת"ר קביעות עתים ללימוד דברי אלקים חיים היא תורת החסידות, פנימיות התורה.
ומכיון אשר פנימיות התורה, כלשון הזהר הקדוש, היא נשמתא דאורייתא, הנני בטוח אשר לימוד החסידות יביא וימשיך חיות גם בגופא דאורייתא הוא נגלה דאורייתא, ושניהם יחדיו יביאו חיות גם בגשמיות בבריות גופא, כיון שאצל בני ישראל הגשמיות והרוחניות יחד יהלכון.
ולקראת חג השבועות, זמן מתן תורתנו וקבלתה, הבע"ל, הנני להביע ברכתי, בנוסח כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, לקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.
