Greetings and blessing,
I reply to your letter of 22 Iyar, in which you evoke the pain from which you suffer in the right leg. To take the ways of nature, you will conform yourself to the prescriptions of specialist doctors in this matter.
Moreover, several texts explain that tzedakah* is the leg on which the moral stature of man rests. This tzedakah* is financial, but also physical, expressing itself then by an effort (in this case, a physical effort) to love one's fellow. You will therefore redouble your ardor in these two domains.
In this manner, Hashem will accord you His blessing, so that you may be in good moral and above all physical health.
In the expectation of your good news and with my blessing that you receive the Torah in a joyous and profound manner,
P.S.: I am surprised that you do not say a word of your study of the revealed part of the Torah and of Chassidus*.

במענה על מכתבו מכ"ב אייר, בו כותב אודות הכאב ברגלו הימנית. הנה נוסף על מה שעושה בדרך הטבע למלאות הוראת הרופאים במקצוע זה, הרי ע"פ המבואר בכ"מ אשר צדקה היא בחי' רגל בקומה הרוחנית של האדם וענין הצדקה כוללת צדקה בממונו וצדקה בגופו היינו טרחת הגוף בענינים דאהבת ישראל, עליו להוסיף אומץ בשני ענינים אלו, והשי"ת יוסיף ברכתו בהנוגע לבריאותו ברוחניות ובפרט בגשמיות.
המחכה לבשו"ט ובברכה לקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.
