To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessing,

You have just written to me that you give a Torah class to a group of women. Beforehand, the list of participants in this class was transmitted to me, and I received it with satisfaction.

I hope that you will strive to increase the number of these participants. Moreover, a part of this study will be devoted to the laws and customs that are specific to Jewish women, applying to daily conduct. Our Sages say, indeed, that "the practice is essential and not the study."

According to the level of the participants, it would be good, also, to give them the possibility of posing questions. In this manner, they will be more motivated and attracted. Indeed, "one comes to the aid of the one who wishes to purify himself" (by giving him the means to put into practice the good decision that has been taken).

With my blessing that you receive the Torah in a joyous and profound manner, and wishing you mazal tov*,
