To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Greetings and blessing,

I received your letter of the luminous day of Lag BaOmer, the hilula* of Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai, who opened the channel of the deep teaching of the Torah, to the point that in his era the children themselves studied and taught it, as the introduction of the Lag BaOmer 5710 pamphlet (1950, by the previous Rebbe), which is pamphlet no. 78, explains.

I read with pleasure, in your letter, that you teach Torah to the students of the professional school. It is clear that a particular effort must be invested in this matter, inasmuch as these students also lead other studies during several hours per day. During the essential teaching, that of the Torah, one must therefore implant in them a spirit of pure fear of Hashem, transmit to them an integral Torah, which they will conserve during all the rest of the day.

Nevertheless, "the result is to the measure of the effort" (literally: "the mark on the back of the camel depends on the weight of its burden"), and our Sages emphasize that "HaKadosh Baruch Hu* demands only according to the forces that one possesses." Increased forces will therefore be accorded to you, so that you may know success in this domain.

The merit of this accomplishment of the highest importance will permit you to obtain, in this, blessing and success. Our Sages emphasize, indeed, that "the reward of the mitzvah* is the mitzvah* itself." You will thus have an increased blessing and success, including in your personal preoccupations.

In the expectation of the good news of the success that you will know in all that, and wishing you to pursue your advancement in all domains,
