Greetings and blessing,
I reply to your letter of the thirty-eighth day of the Omer* (23 Iyar) and to the news that you announced by telephone, which aroused my astonishment.
You have observed miracles of Hashem in your own life and, a fortiori, in that of others. Sometimes, while one saw no issue, a positive solution was able to be found, to the point of being surprised and even sorry to have been so desperate.
The wise man says that the past delivers a lesson for the future. One must therefore be firmly convinced that all that Hashem does is for the good. Then, one elevates oneself toward a higher level and one understands that all that occurs is effectively for the good. Such an attitude is itself the good and not uniquely the cause of this good. And you know the difference that one can make between the account of tractate Berachos 60b, according to which "all that Hashem does is for the good," and that of tractate Ta'anis 21a, which says: "this also is for the good."
In the expectation of your good news, I conclude by addressing you my blessing that you receive the Torah in a joyous and profound manner.
