By the grace of Hashem*, 9 Iyar* 5707, Paris, To the great Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and dedicates himself to communal needs, Rav Yisrael[1], I greet you and bless you,
I am responding to your letter.
I thank you for having written to me, in a few lines, what took place on Shevii* and Acharon shel Pesach* at the home of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, although your letter was brief and it would have been useful to expand upon it.
You wish to print a blessing in the brochure you are publishing for the 21st of Iyar*[2]. If it is printed before that date, as you envision in your letter, I will not have time to send you the text from here. Indeed, I must have information about this brochure and its content, of which you told me nothing, not even by allusion.
As for the assistance[3] that must be given to your female relatives[4], the emissaries sent there have not yet returned. I personally know the one who undertook to convey the forty to them and he is trustworthy. I am somewhat more reserved, on the other hand, toward the one entrusted with bringing them the seventy. I will know more after his return, presumably next week.
Regarding their coming to Paris, it is primarily a financial matter. The cost would apparently be thirty-five for each one. To my knowledge, no welfare fund can finance this sum, and it is for you to decide whether you wish to cover it.

ת"ח על השורות האחדות ע"ד שש"פ ואחש"פ בבית כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שליט"א, אף שקיצר בענין שגם אריכות גדולה בו מביאה תועלת.

ע"ד הדפסת ברכה בחוברת שמו"ל לכ"א אייר, הנה, אם כפי הקס"ד במכתבו שתצא לאור קודם כ"א לחד"ז, אין הזמן מספיק לשלוח מכאן, כיון שעדיין צריך אני לקבל ממנו איזה ידיעות ע"ד מהות חוברת זו ותוכנה, שלא הודיע מאומה עד"ז ואפילו ברמז.

ע"ד מסירת התמיכה לקרובות: השלוחים עדיין לא באו חזרה משם. זה שלקח ע"ע למסור מם, אני מכירו בעצמי וחזקה שליח עושה שליחותו. אותו של הע מסופקני קצת ואדע על ברור בחזירתו, כנראה בשבוע הבע"ל. בנוגע לביאתם לפאריס, אין הדבר תלוי אלא בכיס (כנראה ל"ה לכאו"א, לערך), כפי ידיעתי, אין עתה קופה צבורית על ענין זה, ועל כת"ר להחליט אם יקח זה ע"ע.
