To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessing,

I received your letter of the luminous day of Lag BaOmer. I thank you very much for the good news that you announce to me, that of the Chassidic gathering you organized for the students (of the Talmudei Torah of the Paris region directed by Rav Azimov), on the occasion of this day.

Doubtless you will strive to introduce still further such initiatives in the future. You know the assertion of our Sages according to which "great is the meal that brings close," especially when it concerns young boys and young girls, regarding whom it is said: "The right hand must draw close (and the left hand repel — meaning that one must multiply acts of benevolence and be severe only to the measure of necessity)."

You surely multiply your efforts as the vacation period approaches. Numerous students are then freed from their studies in the public schools, and the parents wish to occupy them, at least during a few hours per day. The moment is therefore propitious to make known to them the Yeshivah* Lubavitch and the Talmud Torah, to persuade them to integrate one of these institutions.

If one occupies oneself with them as is fitting while they are in these institutions, one can hope that a good number of them will remain in the four cubits of Chabad.

As you ask me, I will mention your name and that of the members of your family when I find myself near the holy tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, so that you be in good health.

May Hashem grant you success in all these domains.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מיום הבהיר ל"ג בעומר ות"ח ת"ח על הבשו"ט ע"ד התועדות שעשו בשביל התלמידים בקשר עם יום בהיר זה ובודאי גם על להבא ישתדלו בענינים כמו אלו וכבר ידוע פסק רז"ל גדולה לגימה שמקרבת ובפרט בהנוגע לילדים ולילדות שאמרו בזה לעולם תהא ימין מקרבת וכו'.

בודאי משתדל ביתר שאל וביתר עז בקשר עם ימי החפש הממשמשים ובאים אשר אז כמה ילדים פנוים מהלימוד בבתי ספר המלוכה ובמילא רוצים ההורים שיהיו ילדיהם עסוקים עכ"פ איזה שעות ביום. ולכן זהו שעת הכושר להודיעם ע"ד פעולות תו"ת והת"ת ולשדלם בדברים שילמדו באחד המוסדות הנ"ל המתאימים וכשהיחס אליהם כשיהיו בהמוסדות באופן המתאים יש לקוות שמספר נכון מהם ישארו בד' אמות של חב"ד.

כבקשתו אזכירו ואת כל ב"ב שיחיו בהיותי על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע לבריאות הנכונה והשי"ת יצליחם בכל הנ"ל.
