To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, filled with enthusiasm, multiplying positive accomplishments,

Greetings and blessing,
I had your news with pleasure, and I subsequently received your book, the fourth volume of Ne'im Zemiros. This is of the same tenor as the previous ones. It permits one to grow and to embellish the Torah, by infusing yiras Shamayim*, by pronouncing motivating words. In this way, this yiras Shamayim* can be the ornament of the one who studies Torah.
In spite of what was transmitted to me (which presumably announced to the Rebbe Rav Gershentkoren's decision to retire) by the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Leib Zalmanov, I hope that you will redouble ardor in your communal activities. You know to what extent the Yerushalmi* describes their importance.
Hashem will therefore confer upon you success, and you will illuminate the hearts of those who find themselves in your environment, so that they may strengthen themselves against the gloom, the obscurity of galus*, in our generation, that of ikvesa diMeshicha*. Thus, you will hasten the realization of the promise according to which "the night will illuminate as the day," at the time of the true and complete redemption, by our righteous Moshiach*.

בנועם קבלתי פ"ש ממנו ואחרי כן גם ספרו נעים זמירות ישראל חלק רביעי, וכמעשהו בראשונים מעשהו בזה להגדיל תורה ולהאדירה ע"י ענינים דיראת שמים ודברי התעוררות בזה אשר אז יראת ה' היא אוצרו של הלומד תורה. ולמרות מה שמסר לי הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ מוה"ר ליב שי' זלמנוב, תקותי שיוסיף אומץ גם בעסקנותו בצ"צ וכידוע פסק הירושלמי במעלת הענין וחפץ ד' בידו יצליח להוסיף אור בלבב כל אלו הנמצאים בסביבתו שיוכלו להתגבר על החשכה חשכת הגלות דדורנו דרא דעקבתא דמשיחא ולקרב עי"ז היעוד המקווה דלילה כיום יאיר בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה ע"י משיח צדקנו.
