To the young man, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Yisrael (Rav Y. Naeh, of Milan; see letter no. 2390),

Greetings and blessing,

I duly received your letter, and I thank you for having attached to it the article printed in Italian on the festival of Pesach*. Doubtless, in the future, you will exert yourself to publish often extracts of the sichos* of our masters, of their letters, and even of easy chassidishe* discourses, according to the needs of the moment (see the preceding letter).

Fortunate is the one who takes part in the dissemination of the words of the revealed part of the Torah and of Chassidus*, before the public and the broadest circles.

I am surprised that you do not speak, in your letter, of the influence you exert upon your friends at the university. Among them, there are surely Yidden*. You also do not evoke your fixed studies of the revealed part of the Torah and of Chassidus*. Doubtless this is only a lack in your letter, but not in the concrete action, chas veshalom*.

May Hashem grant you success, that you may settle yourself and find a match suited to you, materially and spiritually at once.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו... ות"ח על מה שצירף למכתבו המאמר שנדפס

באיטלקית בנוגע לחג הפסח. ובודאי מכאן ולהבא ישתדל להדפיס לעתים תכופות ובקביעות קטעים משיחות נשיאינו ומכתביהם הק' או גם מאמרי החסידות הקלים כפי דרישת השעה, ואשרי הזוכה לקחת חלק בהפצת נגלה דתורה ופנימיות התורה ברבים בחוגים היותר שונים.

לפלא שאינו מזכיר במכתבו אודות השפעתו על חבריו באוניברסיטה שבטח יש ביניהם גם יהודים, וכן אינו כותב על דבר שיעוריו הקבועים בלימוד תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות, ובודאי אין זה אלא חסרון בכתיבה אבל לא ח"ו בפועל.

והשי"ת יצליחו להסתדר בקרוב בשידוך המתאים לפניו בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
