To the directresses of Bnos Tzion*, in the holy city of Yerushalayim, may it be restored and rebuilt by our righteous Moshiach*,
Greetings and blessing,
I am responding to your letter of 9 Nissan. I see in it with pleasure that you are thinking of increasing the reception capacity of your schools.
May Hashem grant that you succeed in educating the Jewish young women in the spirit of the Tradition of Israel. Our holy Torah qualifies them as "mistresses of the house" — that is, of the house of Israel, but also of that of each one of them, which will be a Sanctuary for the Presence of Hashem.
My letter, addressed to all, explains all this, and you know the dictum of Chazal* that "one comes to the aid of him who wishes to purify himself," especially when one knows elevation in the realm of Holiness.
With my blessing for success and for the festival,
Because of the holiness of the festival, the Rebbe shlita* did not sign this letter.

במענה על מכתבם מט' ניסן, הנה נעם לי לקרות במכתבם אשר תקותם שיתוספו ספסלי[ם] במוסדות החינוך שלהם ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיצליחו בחינוך בנות ישראל בדרך ישראל סבא אשר נקראים הם בתוה"ק בשם עקרת הבית בית ישראל להיות בית כל אחת מהן מקדש לשכינתו ית' וכמבואר בארוכה במכתבי הכללי וידוע פסק רז"ל הבא לטהר מסייעין אותו ובפרט כשמעלין בקדש.
