Greetings and blessing,
Some time ago I received your letter with pleasure, and I have just received also your gift — a tablecloth for Pesach*. I thank you very much for this attention, which truly has great value at any moment. For Rabbi Akiva* says that "ve'ahavta lere'acha kamocha*" — "you shall love your fellow as yourself" — is "a great principle of the Torah."
How much more so is this the case when it concerns someone whom one generally consults when one has sorrow or worry. Every manifestation of joy or of ahavas Yisrael* is therefore particularly precious to him.
On the occasion of the festival of Matzos* that is approaching, may Hashem grant that it be celebrated in kashrus* and joyfully. Very soon, we shall merit the evident and true freedom. We shall be delivered from material troubles and from everything that prevents the fulfillment of the precept "ivdu es Hashem besimchah*" — "serve Hashem with joy."

נעם לי לקבל מכת[ב]ו מאז וזה עתה נתקבל ג"כ תשורתו המפה לכבוד פסח, ות"ח ת"ח על תשומת לבו שבודאי בכל עת וזמן ולכל אחד יקר הוא וכמאמר רבי עקיבא אשר ואהבת לרעך הוא כלל גדול בתורה, הרי עאכו"כ אשר מי שבאים אליו בענינים של עגמת נפש ודאגות וכו' ר"ל אשר כל ענין של שמחה ואהבת ישראל יקר עוד יותר ויותר...
ולקראת חג המצות הממשמש ובא הרי יחוגו אותו בכשרות ובשמחה ונזכה בקרוב ממש לחירות גלוי' ואמיתית חפשים מדאגות גשמיים וחירות מכל דבר המונע לקיים הציווי עבדו את ה' בשמחה.
