To the distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Chaim Yehuda Jacobson,

Greetings and blessing,

I am responding to your letter of Rosh Chodesh Nissan, by which you describe to me your activity in the field of education based on holy values. You teach at Talmud Torah Etz Chaim and, in addition, you are the author of brochures to assist study of the sefer* Vayikra (by which children begin their study of Torah), which you have written on the basis of your experience acquired in this domain.

May Hashem grant you the merit and success of bringing the heart of Bnei Yisrael* close to their Father Who is in heaven, in the spirit of the Tradition of Israel, of the study of the Torah and of the practice of mitzvos*, founded on ahavas Hashem* and yiras Hashem*. This merit is sufficiently great to allow you to obtain the brachos* of Hashem, as well as the members of your family, satisfying all your needs.

These days are propitious for this, since they precede the festival of Matzos*. Now, this festival begins with the fulfillment of the injunction "vehigadta levincha*" — "and you shall tell your son" — that is, the four sons defined by the Torah, all gathering for the Seder*. At the beginning of its celebration, one says "Ha lachma anya*" — "this is the bread of poverty." Then one concludes by proclaiming "leshanah haba'ah biYerushalayim*" — "next year in Yerushalayim*" — the city which, according to various texts, represents the perfection of yirah*, which will be restored and rebuilt, very soon and in our days, by our righteous Moshiach*, at the time of the true and complete redemption.

במענה על מכתבו מר"ח ניסן בו כותב אודות התעסקותו בשדה חינוך הכשר על טהרת הקדש, ונוסף על התעסקותו בתור מלמד בת"ת עץ חיים הרי ערך ג"כ חוברות עזר ללימוד ספר ויקרא מיוסד על הנסיונות שהיו לו בעבודתו בקדש הנ"ל. והשי"ת יזכהו ויצליחו לקרב לבן של בני ישראל לאבינו שבשמים ברוח ישראל סבא לימוד התורה וקיום המצות מיוסדים על אהבת השם ויראת השם, וגדול זכות זה להמשיך ברכות השי"ת לו ולב"ב שיחיו בהמצטרך להם.

ומסוגלים להנ"ל ימים אלו דקודם חג המצות וימי חג המצות שהתחלתם הוא בהענין דוהגדת לבנך כל הארבעה בנים שכנגדם דברה תורה, אשר סו"ס מקבצים אותם אל הסדר המתחיל בהא לחמא עניא ומסיימים בלשנה הבאה בירושלים (ירא[ה] שלם שלימות היראה כמבואר בכ"מ) ת"ו במהרה בימינו ע"י משיח צדקנו בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה.
