Greetings and blessing,

I am responding to your request for blessing for your mother. When I find myself, at a propitious moment, at the holy tziyun* of my father-in-law the Rebbe, whose merit shall protect us, I shall mention her name, so that she may obtain the satisfaction of her needs.

You must write to her that she must strengthen her bitachon* in Hashem, Who works wonders, Who is the Essence of goodness and good. He will therefore satisfy all her needs, as well as those of the members of her family. She has nothing to fear. Nevertheless, she will have the mezuzos* of her home checked, and the tefillin* worn in the family. If need be, she will replace those that need to be replaced with others that are kosher.

Chazal* say that a man can confer merit on his father, and the same is therefore true for his mother. For your part, you will redouble your ardor in the study of the revealed part of the Torah and of Chassidus*, with mesirus nefesh* and setting aside your own will. The Torah is our life, and by studying it — particularly when one does so in a pure manner — one receives brachah* and success in everything one needs, as do the members of one's family. And, "ein omed bifnei haratzon*" — nothing stands in the way of will.

שלום וברכה!

במענה על מכתבו בקשת ברכה בעד אמו תחי'. הנה כשאהי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, בעת רצון, אזכירה להמצטרך לה. וצריך הי' לכתוב לה שצריכה להתחזק בבטחון בהשי"ת, שהוא המפליא לעשות ועצם הטוב והחסד, שיברכה בהמצטרך לה ולב"ב שיחיו, ואינה צריכה כלל לחשוש וכו', אבל צריכה לבדוק המזוזות בדירתם וכן את התפילין שמניחים ואת הצריכים חילוף להחליפם בכשרים.

ידוע מרז"ל אשר ברא מזכה אבא (וגם אמא), ובמילא גם מצדו עליו להוסיף אומץ בלימוד תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות, מתוך מסירה ונתינה וביטול רצונות עצמיים, אשר לימוד התורה שהיא חיינו ובפרט לימוד התורה בטהרה, ממשיכים עי"ז ברכה והצלחה בהמצטרך לאדם ולב"ב, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
