Greetings and blessing,

I am responding to your letter of erev Shabbos* parshas Shemini. You speak of your memory, and in this matter it is useless to be stubborn — that is, to impose intense activity upon it. On the contrary, one must give it relief.

You must study texts that attract you, so that pleasure may come to relieve the memory, which in the end will firm itself up — all the more so since this situation is surely of nervous origin.

It is doubtless unnecessary to remind you of the necessity, explained by various texts, of preserving one's physical health and therefore conforming to the prescriptions of the doctor.

With my blessing for a kosher and freilichen* Pesach*,

P.S. I would like to know how these days of Purim* unfolded.
