Blessing and greetings,

I had news of you with pleasure, on Purim*, through your husband, the Rav, the distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs. May Hashem grant that you may always give good tidings of both of you, materially and spiritually.

As I mentioned with your husband, the Rav, you surely seek to exert a positive influence on your surroundings — to instill in them the ardor and the enthusiasm of Torah and mitzvos* in general, of chassidishe* conduct in particular. Thus you will be able to hasten and broaden the brachos* that Hashem grants you, with His full and ample hand, for everything you need, materially and spiritually.

One who wishes to earn his livelihood materially does not stay home, in his house, waiting for someone to come to see him and propose to provide for his needs. And it is the same for the satisfaction of spiritual needs, to which we have just alluded. One must not wait for the one who needs it to come and ask to be made more ardent, more enthusiastic for Yiddishe* values, for Torah and mitzvos*. One must leave one's home and go to find him.

When one sincerely desires that this be so, one experiences success — one manages to find such a person and exerts a positive influence upon him. Thus, one is even more motivated to carry out, subsequently, a fruitful action.
