Greetings and blessing,
I have just received your letter of 17 Adar Sheni, and I am surprised that a Yid*, all the more so a Chabad* Chassid, can experience bitterness, especially between Purim* and Pesach* — that is, in days of joy. You will consult the commentary of Rashi* on maseches Taanis 29a, which also makes reference to Pesach*.
May Hashem grant that you and your wife, the Rebbetzin*, succeed in serving Hashem — that is, also in putting into practice the precept "bechol derachecha da'ehu" — "in all your ways know Him" — with simchah*, in raising your children to Torah, to chuppah*, and to ma'asim tovim*, with breadth of mind.

זה עתה קבלתי מכתבו מי"ז אדר שני. ולפלא שאיש הישראלי ובפרט מחסידי חב"ד יהי' בענינים דמרה שחורה, וביותר - בהימים שבין פורים לפסח שהן ימי שמחה (עיין רש"י תענית כ"ט סע"א שמזכיר ג"כ פסח).
והשי"ת יזכהו ואת זוגתו ש"ב הרבנית שיחיו לעבוד את ה' - שבזה נכלל ג"כ העבודה דבכל דרכיך דעהו - מתוך שמחה, ולגדל את כל ילידיהם שיחיו לתורה ולחופה ולמעש"ט מתוך הרחבת הדעת.
