Blessing and greetings,

I received with pleasure your letter, which followed a long interruption. Nevertheless, I am not satisfied with its content, for I observe the manner in which you regard the state of health of your children. You conclude your letter by asking what you can do other than weep and lament.

First of all, you must stop weeping. My father-in-law the Rebbe has many times asked, citing the gedolei Yisrael* of previous generations, that we put into practice the precept "ivdu es Hashem besimchah*" — "serve Hashem with simchah*." The holy Zohar* says that one who is joyful and resolute in his bitachon* in Hashem will receive from Him increased brachah*, more numerous reasons to rejoice and be happy, for himself and for his entire family.

Moreover, as concerns you, your children have had the merit of being talmidim* of an institution for which my father-in-law the Rebbe gave of himself. It is precisely in this way, then, that they will be healthy and happy, materially and spiritually.

You must not pressure your husband to move immediately. This will happen when the time comes, and one must wait for a good and fruitful moment.

You ask me what you can do. As I have said, you must instill simchah* in your home and strengthen your activity of spreading Yiddishe* values among your friends. In this way, you will hasten and broaden the brachah* and success, also in your personal concerns.

I enclose for you a copy of one of my letters addressed to all, on the occasion of Purim*. Doubtless it will be useful to you in your work, as defined above.

Wishing you much nachas* from your children — Yiddishe* and chassidishe* nachas* which you will experience in good health and in simchah*,

בהמשך לשיחה בינינו כאשר ביקרה כאן ,רצוני בזה להדגיש שוב,

שבנוסף לזה שכל איש ואשה מישראל הם שלוחים של הקדוש ברוך הוא

להוסיף אור בסביבתם ,הרי על אחת כמה וכמה אלו שזכו שתהי׳ להם

השפעה מיוחדת ,ואחרים לומדים ממעשיהם ומהנהגתם .שמעבר לזכות

להשפיע ,נותן להם השם יתברך גם כוחות מיוחדים ,יכולות להצליח

בשליחותם ,השליחות ממלך מלכי המלכים הקדוש ברוך הוא .במילא

זוהי אחריות גדולה ביותר ובד בבד זכות גדולה ביותר.

ומכיון שהקב״ה הרי הוא עצם הטוב ונותן לכל אחד את שכרו

במילואו ,הרי ככל שמשתדלים יותר ומקדימים במילוי השליחות שלו,

כך גם השי״ת נותן לו את השכר מוקדם יותר ,ומכיון שבכל יום נזקקים

לחסדים מאת השי״ת ,אם־כן הרי כל יום שמקדימים את מילוי שליחות

השי״ת מוסיפים על ידי זה בברכה והצלחה שכל אחד זקוק לה.

תקותי ששיחתנו כשלעצמה מספיקה .עם־זאת הנני כותב גם

שורות אלו ,כדי להקל את הנסיון ואת הקשיים שנדמים לה ,ובתוספת

ברכה שתצליחי להגשים כמה שיותר מוקדם את כל מה שדובר אודותו

בהיותה כאן .והשם יתברך הוא ערב לקיים הבטחתו להשפיע עבור זה,

לה לבעלה ולילדיהם שיחיו ,את מה שכולכם צריכים בגשמיות

וברוחניות ,גם כמה שיותר מוקדם .והנני מצפה לשמוע ממנה בשורות

טובות בכל זה.
