Greetings and blessing,

You speak of your nervousness. It would be good for you to study a few chapters of the "Sha'ar HaBitachon*" of Chovos HaLevavos*. You will also seek out, in Chassidus*, texts that explain this — such as Iggeres HaKodesh* chapter 25, page 138b. For if you had the conviction that everything comes from Hashem, you would understand that there is no occasion to be nervous.

For one knows what must be done to draw down the blessings of Hashem in everything one needs. The paths have been laid out, and each one can travel them and be sure of himself. There is therefore no reason to become angry or nervous.

With my blessing for success in all that has just been said, for yourself and your wife, the Rebbetzin*,

P.S. Some time ago, your wife wrote to me that she does not like things to remain unfinished. I am therefore surprised at what, in this instance, has not been brought to its conclusion — namely, the fact that I have had no response concerning what I wrote to her on two occasions. I explained to her that she must act upon her surroundings to develop there not only Yiddishkeit*, but also Chassidus*.

You know the saying of my father-in-law the Rebbe, whose merit shall protect us, that the baking of bread is indispensable for the perpetuation of mankind. Despite this, one who is capable of stringing pearls and has been trained for this task should by no means devote himself to an activity that many other people are capable of taking on.

Obviously, I am not saying that one should write to me everything that is being done in this matter. The essential thing is that the concrete action take place. And, "ein HaKadosh Baruch Hu ba bitrunya im beriyosav" — "the Holy One, blessed be He, does not act with tyranny toward His creatures." The strengths and possibilities of obtaining such a result have therefore surely been granted. I await good tidings.

... במה שכותב אודות הניערוועזקייט שלו, הנה כדאי הי' שילמוד איזה פרקים בשער הבטחון בחובת הלבבות ויחפש בדא"ח המקומות שמבואר בהם הענין דאגה"ק סי' כ"ה - קל"ח ע"ב - כי אילו הי' מאמין שמאת ה' היתה זאת כו' שבמילא מובן שאין מה להיות ניערוועז, כיון שהדרכים להמשכת ברכות השי"ת בכל המצטרך ידועים הם והם דרכים סלולים אשר כל אחד ואחד יכולים לעלות בהם וללכת לבטח ובמילא אין ממה להיות מרוגז עצבים כמובן.

בהמשך למ"ש לי זוג' תי' מאז שאינה אוהבת ענינים שלא נגמרו. הנה לפלא שעדיין לא נגמר היינו שלא נעניתי מאומה על מה שכתבתי לה פעמיים אודות ההכרח שתפעול בסביבתה להרבות בה לא רק יהדות סתם אלא גם חסידות. וכידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אשר אף שמלאכת אפיית לחם הכרחית היא בקיום מין האדם, בכ"ז מי שביכולתו וגם למדוהו להיות נוקב מרגליות, אין לו להתעסק במלאכה שכו"כ זולתו יכולים לעסוק בה.

מובן ג"כ שאין כוונתי שיכתבו לי דוקא מהנעשה בענין זה, אלא שהעיקר הוא המעשה שיעשו זה בפועל, וכיון שאין הקב"ה בא בטרוניא עם בריותיו, הנה בטח ניתנו הכחות והאפשריות לה לפעולות בזה, ואחכה לבשו"ט
