Greetings and blessing,
May Hashem guard anyone from being content with his accomplishments in the realm of chinuch*, especially in light of the directives of my father-in-law the Rebbe, whose merit shall protect us, according to which every result obtained in Torah and mitzvos* — even the most considerable — must awaken a considerable appetite for more. For if a mere effort sufficed to achieve all this, how much more so must a sustained effort be fruitful [1].
At the other extreme, even the most limited accomplishment must likewise instill the necessary fervor to continue one's efforts. Here too, if what is accomplished even shelo lishmah* nevertheless enables one to overcome the veils and obstacles whose origin lies in the cheit haEgel* — the source of all sins — and brings forth a ray of light, all the more so is the help of Hashem assured when one acts lishmah*, and it is said that "haba litaher mesayin oso*."
With my blessing for good health and success, and likewise in the chinuch* of Yiddishe* children to fear of Hashem and to the study of our holy Torah,
