Greetings and blessings,
I reply to your letter, in which you ask that a copy of the holy Tanya* be sent to you.
In accordance with your request, it has been sent to you under separate parcel. You will surely show generosity by making it available to others. For Chazal*, commenting on the pasuk* 'tzidkaso omedes la'ad,' say: 'this refers to one who writes seforim* and lends them to others' — even though he has invested his effort and his money in them. How much more so should this be the case in your situation.
May Hashem grant that the study of this sefer be a sam chayim*, vivifying your limud haTorah* and your fullest fulfillment of the mitzvos*.

הנה נשלח בחבילה בפ"ע כבקשתו. ובודאי ינהג בו טוב עין ויזכה בו גם את אחרים.
והוא בקל וחומר ממאמר רז"ל על הכתוב צדקתו עומדת לעד זה הכותב ספרים ומשאילם לאחרים (שעלה לו בטרחה ובדמים ובכל זה משאילם לאחרים) ויהי רצון שהלימוד בספר הנ"ל יהי' לו סם חיים לתוספת חיות בלימוד התורה וקיום המצות בהידור.
