To the young man, distinguished chassid*
who fears Hashem, Rav Chaim[1],
Greetings and blessings,
I received with pleasure your letter, informing me of the increase in the number of children participating in the Mesibos* Shabbos[2] and of the participation of children who are not students of the yeshivah*[3].
In the future you will surely redouble your ardor in this area. The Tanya* explains, at the end of chapter 25, that every action connected with Torah and mitzvos* arouses 'a yichud* that, on high, is immutable.' Moreover, since this concerns chinuch habanim*, it is inevitable that its memory will remain in the years to come.
How much more so for what is repeated a second time, then a third, every week. One can then hope that practical actions will quickly follow.
There is here a considerable merit which will reveal — together with the teaching of nigleh* and chassidus* to the older talmidim — success in your personal concerns.

נהניתי לקבל מכתבו שנתרבה מספר הילדים המשתתפים במסיבות שבת ואשר מצטרפים אליהם גם כאלו שלא מהישיבה. ובודאי גם להבא יוסיף אומץ בזה אשר נוסף על המבואר בתניא ס"פ כ"ה, אשר בכל פעולה של תומ"צ הרי יחוד זה למעלה הוא נצחי לעולם ועד, הנה בענינים של חינוך אי אפשר שלא ישאר מזה רושם על השנים יבואו ובפרט כשהולכים הדברים ונשנים ונשלשים מדי שבת בשבתו שאז יש לקוות לפעולות נמשכות בקרוב. וגדול זכות הנ"ל וכן מה שלומד עם תלמידים מבוגרים תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות להמשיך הצלחה בעניניו הפרטיים...
