To the great rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

from an illustrious family, Rav Matisyahu Yechezkel[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter of 15 Shevat. In the meantime, I have also received two copies of your sefer*, a commentary on Pirkei Avos*. May Hashem grant you success and the merit to grow in Torah and beautify it, with breadth of mind and in good health.

In my last letter[2] I told you that one should write 'Odel'[3] without a yud*. I have since seen that this name is written with a yud in the introduction of the sefer 'Toras HaBaal Shem Tov VeTalmidav.'

I have requested that you be sent a Tanya* recently published, for the first time in the United States. Indices have been added to it. You will please confirm receipt.
