B"H,
25 Adar Rishon 5714,
Brooklyn,
Greetings and blessings,
I reply to your correspondence in which you tell me that you are beset by various unfitting and negative thoughts. You do not know why this is so.
First of all, you must stop worrying about yourself and your thoughts. In your daily life, adopt the demands of our holy Torah. Place your trust in Hashem, Who is the Essence of good and Who will direct you toward what is good for you, materially and spiritually.
As you asked of me, I will mention your name when I am at the holy tziyun* of my father-in-law the Rebbe, may his merit protect us, so that you be in good health. Nevertheless, you should have your tefillin* and the mezuzos* of your house checked, so that they be kosher.
Each morning after davening, you will recite Tehillim*, at least according to its monthly division. As far as possible, you will also give a few coins to tzedakah* each day before davening.
May Hashem grant that very soon, in good health, you be able to strengthen Yiddishkeit* throughout your entire surroundings.
With my blessing,
For the Rebbe Shlita,
