I received your note informing me that your wife's state of health has improved. May Hashem grant that you be able to give good news of your physical health and of your spiritual health — meaning the fulfillment of the mission entrusted to you in this world.

The mission of every man and every woman consists in fashioning, here below, kelim* for Elokus*, by spreading and strengthening 'ner* mitzvah* veTorah* ohr*' as well as the luminary of the Torah — that is, the teaching of chassidus*, its ways and its customs.

If such a mission applies even to those who reside in big cities, where there are large numbers of yirei-Hashem* Yidden*, how much more does it acquire its full value for those who live in small towns and belong to the elite, having knowledge of the luminary of Torah and of its inner teaching, which gives life to its revealed part and enables one better to fulfill the mitzvos*.

You surely have the possibility to act in this area and you do so. Nevertheless, one must know maalin bakodesh*, and you will therefore broaden your activity to the full extent of your capacities. It is an established fact that a shliach* fulfills the mission entrusted to him, and from this point of view every Jewish man and every Jewish woman are indeed shluchim* of HaKadosh-Baruch-Hu*.
