To the rav, chassid* and tzaddik*, of illustrious lineage,

Rav Yaakov[1] shlit"a,

Greetings and blessings,

I received your request for berachah* through the chassid, great rav who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Yechiel Michel Dabroskin. Bli neder*, I will read it at an opportune moment at the holy tziyun* of my father-in-law the Rebbe, may his merit protect us. May Hashem bring it to pass that you announce me good news soon.

Chazal* say that one urges zerizus* only on those who, by nature, possess this quality, and on the basis of this saying I take this occasion to underscore to you the following point. In keeping with the teaching of the Alter Rebbe — author of the Tanya* and the Shulchan Aruch — in Iggeres HaKodesh at the beginning of ch. 26, 'in these last generations it is permitted and necessary to reveal this wisdom,' that is, the inner teaching of the Torah.

Consequently, one who has been chosen by Hashem and has the merit of exerting his influence on many Yidden* must take advantage of it to make known to them this ruling of the Arizal*[2], and to remind them of it from time to time, particularly in these latest times when an intense and deep darkness reigns in Eretz HaKodesh, 'toward which the eyes of Hashem are always turned, from the beginning of the year until the end of the year.' The need for all this is therefore all the greater.

You know the ruling of the Beis Din shel Maalah*[3] — revealed by the Mitteler Rebbe, son of the Alter Rebbe — that all those who exert themselves in this direction will succeed and, despite the darknesses and the veils, will prevail.

בהזדמנות זו ארשה לי לעורר נשען על מרז"ל אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין אשר כיון כלשון רבינו הזקן בעל התניא והשו"ע (אגה"ק ריש סימן כו) אשר - בדורות אלו האחרונים מותר ומצוה לגלות זאת החכמה (היינו פנימיות התורה) הנה מי שהשי"ת חננו וזיכהו בהשפעה על חוג מאחב"י הנה בודאי משתמש גם בזה להודיעם ע"ד פס"ד האריז"ל כנ"ל ולעוררם ע"ז מזמן לזמן ובפרט בזמננו האחרון דחשך הכפול ומכופל ובאה"ק ת"ו אשר עיני ה"א בה מראשית השנה עד אחרית שנה, הנה הנחיצות בזה גדולה פי כמה וכמה, וכבר ידוע פסק דין בית דין שלמעלה שמסר כ"ק אדמו"ר האמצעי בן כ"ק רבנו הזקן אשר המשתדלים בזה יצליחו ולמרות העלמות והסתרים תהי' ידם על העליונה...
