Greetings and blessings,

I learned with pain, through the great rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, that you have business difficulties. You must place your bitachon* firmly in the King, King of kings, HaKadosh-Baruch-Hu*, Who works wonders.

For there is here only a test, the duration of which will be short. When you give concrete proof of your bitachon in Hashem, it will disappear. Then you will recover your previous situation and may even improve upon it.

You know the saying of the Alter Rebbe — author of the Tanya* and posek* of the generation for the inner teaching of the Torah, author of the Shulchan Aruch and posek of the generation for nigleh* — that 'Hashem grants Yidden material things, and they make of them spirituality.'

May Hashem bring it about that you have both, in abundance — quantitative and qualitative at once.

נצטערתי להודע ע"י הרה"ג הרה"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ כו' מוה"ר... על דבר המיצר שלהם בעסקם. וצריכים להיות חזקים בבטחונם במלך מלכי המלכים הקב"ה המפליא לעשות, שאין זה אלא נסיון ולזמן קצר. וכשיהיו חזקים בבטחונם ויראו זה בפועל, הרי יתבטל הנסיון ויחזרו למעמדם ומצבם ואחרי כן גם יוסיפו עליו, וידוע פתגם כ"ק רבנו הזקן בעל התניא (פוסק בנסתר דתורה) והשו"ע (פוסק בנגלה דתורה) אשר השי"ת נותן לבני ישראל גשמיות ובני ישראל עושים מגשמיות רוחניות. והשי"ת יצליחם שיהיו שני ענינים אלו בריבוי בכמות ובריבוי באיכות.
