Blessings and greetings,

I was pleased to have news of you and of your activities through the rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Peretz Mochkin[3]. I hope to obtain directly from you more detailed and more joyous news of yourselves and the members of your family — concerning Torah and mitzvos, which are spiritual health and abundance and which enable one to obtain physical health and abundance.

I take this occasion to underscore once again to you the considerable merit and the special powers that Hashem has granted to women, so that they conduct their home — that it be a true Jewish home — and that they devote themselves to the chinuch* of children, in addition to all the mitzvos they fulfill apart from this.

In these days and weeks we read the parshiyos of the Torah which describe the building of the Mishkan* and the Mikdash*. And it is said that women were the first to undertake this mission, and they did so with the greatest mesirus-nefesh*.

The seforim* explain that every Yid — man or woman — possesses a Mikdash. It is, in this case, his home. Indeed, every Jewish home must be sanctified to Hashem. The mission of building it falls in large part upon the woman, as the sichah* of my father-in-law the Rebbe, may his merit protect us — said before women, which I enclose with the present[4] — specifies.

Various texts of the Gemara* and the Zohar* also explain that by strengthening her observance of the laws of tznius*, a woman puts every means on her side to be in good health, to know material abundance, and to derive much nachas — true nachas — from her children and her grandchildren.

All this depends on each one of you. You must yourselves adopt such conduct and bring it about that your good friends, your relatives and your acquaintances also become aware of the immense possibilities granted them, of the success they can attain in this way.

May Hashem bring it about that each one of you act in this direction to the full extent of your means. Then Hashem will fulfill His promise and grant health, abundance, and true pleasure in the full sense of the term.
