Greetings and blessings,

Your wife agrees, with a joyful heart, to wear a sheitel*. She will not be affected by those who might mock her. She will thereby have considerable merit, all the more so since she will be among the first in her circle to restore this practice of virtuous Jewish women. And you know in what terms Chazal* praise those who confer merit upon the many.

Perhaps it will be difficult, for a time, to adopt this practice because of the expense it will entail. We have here a fund that can offer help in such a case and allow the payments to be spread out, so as to make this purchase possible for everyone.

There is therefore no reason to wait. Upon receipt of my letter, you will tell me to whose order the check is to be made out, and for what amount. It will be sent to you forthwith.

And Hashem will grant you success.

זה שזוגתו תקבל על עצמה לחבוש פאה בלב שמח ,ולא תתבייש

מאלו אשר -יתכן -יצחקו מזה ,זכותה תהי׳ גדולה ,במיוחד בהיותה

מהראשונות בסביבה המחזירות מנהג בנות ישראל הכשרות ,וכבר ידוע

כיצד הפליגו רז״ל במעלת המזכה את הרבים.

יתכן שלעיתים קשה לעשות זאת בשל העלות] ,לכך[ ישנה כאן

קופה מיוחדת להלוות למטרות כאלו ,על מנת לשלם בזמן ארוך ,כדי

לאפשר זאת לכל אחת .ולכן לא כדאי לדחות זאת ,ומיד לכשיקבל את

המכתב הזה ,יכתוב על שם מי ועל איזה סכום לכתוב את ההמחאה,

וישלחו זאת מיד ,והשם יתברך יצליחם.
