To the rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter, in which you describe the nature of the talmidim*[2] who came here and their study of Torah.

Without a doubt, as I have asked you on many occasions[3], the talmidim* who took part here in a chassidic* gathering must have recounted there — each according to his own way of expressing it — what they took from it. This is also a good opportunity to exercise a good influence on them, to strengthen their fear of Hashem and their ardor in study.
