Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter of 22 Kislev, in which you inform me of what happened to you in the position that had been entrusted to you. At present, you no longer have any employment.

In fact, the life of a person is not always peaceful. He has the will and the capacity to know elevation, which sometimes also leads him to experience descent. One must therefore not be affected by it or be discouraged, chas veshalom*, especially when this descent is only material, and even more so when it is independent of your will.

On the contrary, descent must arouse a deeper emunah* and bitachon* in Hashem, taking — for those who observe it — the form of greater determination, of a more contained reaction in the face of an unpleasant event, especially since the latter is only passing.

I have written to educational officials, and I have good hope that they will be able to resolve your problem quickly, on condition, of course, that you agree to cooperate with them.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבה מכ"ב כסלו, בו כותבת מסדר הדברים אשר הי' בקשר למשרתה ב... ואשר עתה נשארה בלא משרה.

והנה חיי האדם אינם הולכים תמיד במישור וכיון שרצון ויכולת האדם לעלות הרי זה עצמו נותן אפשריות גם לירידה, ואין להתפעל ולהיות נופל ברוח ח"ו כשרואים איזה ירידה ובפרט כשהירידה היא אך בנוגע לגשמיות ובפרטיות כשאין הדבר תלוי בה.

ואדרבה ירידה צריכה לפעול התעוררות כחות אמונה ובטחון יותר פנימיים ויותר עמוקים אשר גילוים כלפי חוץ הוא באומץ רוח ובהעדר התפעלות מתופעה אי נעימה, ובפרט שהוא אך ורק לזמן קצר ביותר.

כתבתי לעסקנים בשדה החינוך ותקותי אשר במשך זמן קצר יוכלו לסדר גם ענינה, כמובן אם מצדה ג"כ תשתף פעולה עמה[ם].

בברכת הצלחה בעבודת הקדש הוא ענין חינוך הכשר.
