Greetings and blessings,

A) As we have spoken many times, you are a man in good health — that is obvious. Nevertheless, you must maintain your physical health by knowing how to eat, drink, and rest. You must observe these principles.

It is unnecessary to explain at length how much the lack of organization, particularly on the part of those who undertake a sacred mission, is inspired by the yetzer hara*, and how it constitutes a terrible ruse, since it is ordinarily presented with arguments that seem to come from one who fears Hashem. And it affects the fervor of tefillah* and the study of chassidus*.

Our masters, in their written and oral teaching, warned in this domain, condemning such a manner of acting whenever it can be considered. If one truly wishes, one can adhere to this principle without difficulty.

Certainly, it is not easy to change one's nature, even if it is only second nature, that which results from accustoming oneself to disorder over a relatively long time.

B) There is another point, close to the one that has just been mentioned. We have spoken of the absolute necessity of putting order in your sacred mission and in your communal preoccupations.

A single man cannot direct numerous activities down to the smallest detail and make order reign in them. In my opinion, it is necessary, before getting more entangled, to entrust a significant part of your work to people capable of carrying it out.

Your role will therefore be limited to a general supervision and, from time to time, you will be reported to about what is being done.

With my blessing for success in your sacred mission, which you will accomplish in good health, with much chassidic nachas* from yourself and from all the members of your family,

...ב) מובן מעצמו שמה שנדברנו זה כמה פעמים שאיש בריא הוא, אבל צריך לשמור בריאות הגוף ע"י שמירת הסדר אכו"ש ומנוחה כו' הרי זה עומד בתוקף...

ולמותר לבאר בזה באריכות איך שהעדר הסדרים ובפרט באלו שהעמיסו עליהם מלאכת שמים ה"ז מתחבולותיו של היצר ובערמומיות גדולה מאד כיון שע"פ רוב מלבישים זה בטענות של יר"ש ושזה נוגע לעבודת התפלה ולימוד החסידות כו' וכו', אבל כיון שנשיאנו בתורתם שבכתב ושבע"פ כבר הזהירו ע"ז און מען האט דאס באווארנט אין כל מקום ושאלה בשלילת ענין זה, ובאם רוצים באמת מגשימים זה בחיים בלי כל קישויים אף שכמובן קשה לשנות אפילו טבע שני שנעשה ע"י ההרגל בבלתי סדר משך זמן ארוך לפ"ע.

ג) ובענין דומה להנ"ל הוא במה שנדברנו בהכרח הגמור להכניס סדר בעבודתו בקדש ובעניני צבור...

וכיון שאיש אחד אי אפשר לו לנהל כמה וכמה ענינים לכל פרטיהם ושנוסף על זה יהי' ג"כ הסדר שולט בהם, הרי לדעתי מוכרח שתיכף ומיד מבלי שיסתבכו (פארפלאנטערען) הלאה בהענינים, ימסור חלק חשוב מעבודתו הנ"ל לאנשים מתאימים לזה, ועליו תהי' רק השגחה בכללות ומזמן לזמן קבלת דו"ח, ובודאי יודיעני איך שסידר כל זה, ומפני טעמים הנ"ל הנה ההקדם בזה ישובח.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתו בקדש מתוך בריאות הנכונה ורוב נחת חסידותי מעצמו ומכל ב"ב שיחיו.
