To the leaders of the youth of the Chabad association in

Tel Aviv, may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter, in which you describe the journeys of last Tishrei and the mimeograph of an excerpt from the sichah* of Shabbos* Bereishis. I am surprised that you write to me so little. May Hashem grant that the lack be only in writing, and that it not in any way affect what is concretely accomplished.

No doubt, as you write, you are preparing to publish the Bitaon* [1] for Yud Shevat* [2], which is approaching. If you publish there the latest letter addressed to all [3], which was written for the luminous day of the chag hageulah* of Yud-Tes Kislev*, you will need to add, at the end of the note introduced by "every neshamah*," after the 11, the following passage:

"The reservoir of souls is called 'body.' It is found lower than the two levels previously defined. It therefore also concerns the souls of the other nations, according to the Tosafos*, tractate Avodah Zarah 5a. See also the Likkutei Torah of the Arizal* on Yeshayahu p. 59, the Etz Chaim sha'ar 26, the Emek HaMelech sha'ar 6 ch. 72, and the summaries and commentaries of the Tanya* from p. 83. This subject will not be developed further here."

I send you a few prepaid mailing vouchers as a contribution to the publication of the Bitaon*.

In expectation of your good news, I conclude by addressing to you my blessing for great success in your sacred mission,

בטח כמו שכתבו מתכוננים הם להו"ל את הבטאון ליו"ד שבט הבע"ל, ואם ידפיסו שם את המכתב כללי האחרון שהו"ל בקשר עם יום הבהיר חג הגאולה י"ט כסלו, הנה יש להוסיף שם בסוף ההערה, כל נשמתא לאחרי התיבה יא ), תיבות אלו:
