To the leaders of the Chabad* association in Eretz HaKodesh*,

may Hashem* grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

A) For the sake of order, I once again acknowledge receipt of your letters of 6 Tishrei, 25 Cheshvan, 17 Kislev, 6 Shevat, and 25 Adar.

B) I refer to the question that you posed to me concerning the action that you should take in the area of taharas hamishpachah*:

First, you will commit to covering the expenses of the repair of a mikveh*,[1] together with the center for the dissemination of taharas hamishpachah* directed by Rav Halperin. Of course, this must be in accordance with the halachic decisions of the Rebbe Rashab*.

You will arrange with this center that this repair be presented as one of its accomplishments, but that you be permitted to publicly state the financial participation of the Chabad* association. This is what we agreed upon with Rav Barzel when we discussed all of this.

C) Moreover, the Rav and chassid* Dabroskin, of Haifa, writes to me[2] about a mikveh* and tells me that he is addressing me in accordance with their request.[3] Its repair can be carried out for about one hundred fifty Israeli pounds.

In my view, it is good to take this on as well. But, as I said, here too one must adopt the opinion of the Rebbe Rashab*.

D) It seems that the inspectors have ceased their activity.[4] I do not know who is behind the blockage, and I therefore write directly to these inspectors and to the institutions concerned.

I hear that they exercise this inspection effectively and do not content themselves with merely bearing the title. My proposal for these inspectors therefore remains in force, just as when I formulated it. I thank you for giving me an explanation on this subject.

With my blessing for a kosher* and joyous Pesach* festival, looking forward to your good news,

For a certain reason, the Rebbe* shlita* did not have time to sign this letter before the festival. Given the holiness of the festival, I sign therefore in his place.[5]

מפני הסדר מאשר הנני עוה"פ קבלת מכתביהם מו' תשרי, כ"ה חשון, י"ז כסלו ו' שבט וכ"ה אדר.

ב) בנוגע לשאלתם במפעלות בשטח טהרת המשפחה, הנה א) יקחו על הוצאתם תשלום תקון מקוה אחת של מרכז טהרת המשפחה המתנהלת ע"י הרב הלפרין, ומובן שצריכה להיות באופן שתתאים לתקנות כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע, ויתדברו בזה עם המרכז הנ"ל שיהי' התקון על שמו אבל בידם לפרסם שזהו על הוצאות אגו"ח, כי כן הי' המדובר עם הרב ברזל שי' שהציע לפני את כל ענין זה.

ג) נוסף ע"ז ישנה מקוה שאודותה כתב אלי הרה"ח דאברוסקין שי' מחיפה וכותב שפונה אלי בהצעתם, והתקון דורש סכום של ק"ן לא"י לפ"ע, וא"כ לדעתי גם זה נכון.

וע"פ הנ"ל שיהי' כדרישת תקנת כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע.

ד) כנראה שהמבקרים פסקו את פעולתם, ואיני יודע ממי היא המניעה, וכותב הנני להמבקרים ביחוד ולהמוסדות ביחוד, שכוונתי בזה שיבקרו בפועל ולא לבד בהכתרתם בשם זה בלבד, ובמילא הצעתי בביקורם בתקפה כאז כן היום ות"ח בעד הביאור בזה.

בברכה לחג הפסח כשר ושמח המחכה לבשו"ט.
