Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter, in which you inform me that your son has just turned seven years old. May Hashem* grant that you and your wife raise him, together with your other children, to Torah*, chuppah*, and good deeds, with expansiveness.

You write that he loves to play. One must endeavor that learning also be present within his games, even if this is not the custom in America. You will take counsel with his teacher and with the head of his yeshivah*. You will also consult the Rav and chassid*, Rav Ch. M. A. Hodakov. In this way, you will surely find solutions.

במענה על מכתבו, בו מודיע אשר מלאו שבע שנים לבנם... שי'. הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שהוא וזוגתו שי' יגדלוהו יחד עם שאר ילידיהם שיחיו לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים מתוך הרחבה.

ומה שכותב אז ער פארשפילט זיך, הנה יש להשתדל שגם בזה יהי' איזה ענין של לימוד (אף שאינו מתאים למנהג אמריקה) וכאשר יתייעצו בזה עם הר"מ והר"י דהישיבה ביחד עם הרה"ח וכו' מוהרחמ"א שי' חדקוב, בטח ימצאו דרכים בזה.
