To my relative, the great Rav, distinguished chassid*
who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs,
from an illustrious family,
Rav Avraham Yehudah,[1]
Greetings and blessings,
You have not written to me for a long time. You have no doubt adopted the practice of the chassidim* in recent times,[2] according to which, when all is well, one says nothing. May Hashem* grant you much good, in the expression of our Sages at the end of Midrash Esther Rabbah*, in all the areas mentioned by that text.
Nonetheless, you should write to me from time to time, so that we may convey good news to one another.
I take this opportunity to express my thanks and our appreciation for your participation and your help in the activity of Chabad* in Eretz HaKodesh*, in general, and in the direction of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* network in particular.
It is no doubt unnecessary to ask you to maintain the same attitude in the future. As I said, you have not only my thanks, but also our appreciation, that is to say also yours, like the Sage of the Mishnah* who said: "May my innards rejoice."[3]
On the occasion of the festival days that are approaching, for us and for all Yisrael*, for the good, I extend to you my blessing for a kosher* and joyous Pesach*.
And may the long-awaited promise be fulfilled: "As in the days of your going out from Mitzrayim*, I will show you wonders," with our true and complete redemption, in your lifetime and in ours, through our righteous Moshiach*.

שלום וברכה!
זה זמן רב לא קבלתי מכת"ר שי' כל מכתבים, ובטח הוא כמנהג הנהוג בין אנ"ש שי' זה מכבר, שכאשר הכל שלום אין מודיעים, ויה"ר מהשי"ת אשר תהי' הטובה בריבוי וכו' וכלשון רז"ל סוף אסתר רבה בכל המדריגות הנמנים שם, ובכ"ז יכתוב מזמן לזמן להודיע טובות איש לרעהו.
בהזדמנות זו נעים לי להביע תודתי תודתינו בעד השתתפותו ועזרתו בעסקנות חב"ד באה"ק ת"ו בכלל ולהנהלת הרשת דאהלי"י בפרט, ובודאי למותר לבקשו להמשיך בזה גם על להבא, כי כנ"ל זה לא רק תודתי אלא תודתינו היינו גם שלו, וע"ד מאמר התנא שישו בני מעי.
ולקראת ימי החג הבאים עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לחג הפסח כשר ושמח.
ולקיום היעוד המקווה - כימי צאתך מארץ מצרים אראנו נפלאות, בגאולתנו האמיתית והשלימה, בימיו ובימינו ע"י משיח צדקנו.
