By the grace of Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter, which was undated. Concerning the partnership, you tell me that you need a blessing in order to consolidate and reinforce your situation, because of the modifications likely to occur for you because of this partnership.

It is doubtless unnecessary to remind you of the affirmation of our Sages according to which "the Holy One, blessed be He, did not create anything useless in His world." Each one of us therefore receives the strengths and the possibilities to accomplish and bring to fruition the mission entrusted to him here below.

Nevertheless, this mission belongs to the domain of holiness, and one therefore has the power to enlarge it. In fact, our Sages say that one multiplies blessings to those who intensify their action. Consequently, when someone accepts an additional mission, he enlarges, in this way, the channels and the receptacles by which Hashem grants him the strengths and capacities he needs.

May Hashem grant that you take the resolution to intensify your action and your efforts to strengthen Yiddishkeit*, to spread the love of Torah and mitzvos* in general, of Chassidus*, of its customs, its practices and its foundations in particular.

In fact, Chassidus* is indeed your origin. It therefore constitutes the essence of the mission that falls to you personally. Thus, it will enlarge and broaden your work and your standing, in your city and in your activities in general.

הגיעני מכתבו (בלי הוראת זמן הכתיבה) בו כותב אשר בקשר עם התאחדות... הנה זקוק הוא לברכה לביצור והגדלת מצבו שם בקשר להשנויים העלולים להתהוות לרגלי התאחדות זו.

הנה למותר להעירו על מאמר רז"ל לא ברא הקב"ה בעולמו דבר אחד לבטלה, ובמילא ניתנים לכל אחד ואחד מאתנו הכוחות והאפשרויות שיוכל על ידם לבצע ולמלא שליחותו ותפקידו בעלמא דין. וגודל הכוחות והאפשריות הם בהתאם להתפקיד. אלא מכיון שהתפקיד המוטל על כל אחד מאתנו הוא דבר שבקדושה, הנה הרשות והיכולת נתונה להגדילו, ועל פי מרז"ל כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, הנה כשהאדם לוקח על עצמו תוספת שליחות הרי בזה גופא מגדיל הוא הצנורות והכלים דרך שם נמשכים אליו הכוחות והאפשריות מלמעלה.

ויהי רצון מהשי"ת שגם הוא יחליט בעצמו להגדיל עבודתו והשתדלותו בהחזקת היהדות והפצת חיבת התורה והמצוות בכלל, ותורת החסידות מנהגי' והדרכותי' ויסודותי' בפרט, אשר סוף סוף זהו גזע מחצבתו, במילא עיקר תפקידו הפרטי. ובדרך ממילא תתגדל ותתחזק גם כן עבודתו וחשיבותו ב... ובעסקנותו בכלל.
