Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter of 12 Kislev. I was also pleased to receive your greetings, through the intermediary of your son-in-law. I read with pleasure, in your correspondence, the stories of earlier times, of the era of the Rebbe Maharash*, which you received from your father. Doubtless you make use of the influence you exert on those around you to make Chassidus* known to them, in general, and Chabad Chassidus* in particular.

You say in your letter that you have no one with whom you can exchange a warm word. Now, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, told us many times, citing our holy Rebbeim, that when one addresses a Jew, his neshamah* immediately understands what is being said to him. And he who contacts him, if he does not cease speaking to him and does not spare his efforts, will finally succeed in touching him.

It is established that an effort is never in vain. Each one, in this matter, must therefore do all that is in his power. Thus, Hashem will grant him success, in His measure. And this will be the channel and the receptacle that will permit drawing forth blessing and success in your personal needs.

May Hashem grant you good health. Long days and good years will form the channel by which you will intensify the light of Chassidus* in the place where you find yourself.

I enclose a kuntres* that has appeared recently. It will surely be useful to you for all that has just been said.

קבלתי מכתבו מי"ב כסלו, וגם נהניתי לקבל פ"ש ממנו ע"י חתנו שי' ובפרט הסיב לי ענג שכותב במכתבו ע"ד זכרונות מימי קדם מכ"ק אדמו"ר מוהר"ש נ"ע ששמע מאביו, ובטח משתמש בהשפעתו בסביבתו בכדי להכירם בחסידות בכלל וחסידות חב"ד בפרט.

וזה שכותב במכתבו שאין עם מי לדבר א לעבעדיקן ווארט, הנה שמענו כמה פעמים מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בשם רבותינו נשיאינו, שכשמדברים עם יהודי הנה הנשמה שומעת תיכף וגם המדבר כשלא פוסק און ווערט ניט פארמאטערט לדבר, הנה סוף סוף חודר (נעמט עם דורך) בתוכו, וחזקה לתעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם, והאדם צריך לעשות במה שתלוי בו והשי"ת יצליח אז כמו שהוא ית' יכול, וזה ישמש לצנור וכלי להמשכת ברכה והצלחה בהענינים שזקוק הוא בעצמו,

השי"ת יתן לו בריאות הנכונה שלאריכות ימים ושנים טובות יוכל להיות הצנור שעל ידו יתוסף אור חסידות במקום שנמצא.

מצו"פ קונטרס שהו"ל זה לא כבר, שבטח יביא לו תועלת בהנ"ל.
