By the grace of Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter of motzaei Shabbos* Vaera, with the request for blessing it contained. As you ask of me, I will read it, without making it a vow, at a propitious moment, near the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us.

You tell me that you have difficulty studying Chovos HaLevavos*. As you doubtless remember, I specified to you[1] that I was not alluding to the Shaar HaYichud, but rather to the following parts. If these are also difficult for you, you will study the Pokeach Ivrim*[2] and the chassidic discourses of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, delivered on 12 Tammuz and 19 Kislev during the various years, depending on what you wish.

Hashem will come to your aid and will save you from those who accuse you. You will know elevation, and it will become evident that you are one of the seedlings of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of the Lubavitch yeshivah*, of which you had the merit of being a student for several years.

With my blessing for material and spiritual success and for good health for all the members of your family,

נתקבל מכתבו ממוצש"ק וארא עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו שכבקשתו

אקראהו - בל"נ - בעת רצון על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

ומ"ש שקשה לו הלימוד בחובת הלבבות, הנה בטח זוכר שאמרתי לו שאין כוונתי לשער היחוד אלא להשערים שאחריו ואם גם זה קשה בשבילו, אזי לימוד בפוקח עורים, ומאמרי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר די"ב תמוז וי"ט כסלו דשנים שונות במקום שלבו חפץ, והשי"ת יעזרו להושיעו משופטי נפשו ויוכל לעלות מעלה מעלה שיהי' ניכר בו נצר מטעי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בישיבת תומכי תמימים שזכה להיות תלמידה כמה שנים.
