Greetings and blessings,

Here is the most important point. It is useless to waste time raising objections against others. Indeed, such an approach is doubly tainted with doubt:

1. Are these objections justified?

2. Even if they are, will you achieve success?

Devote therefore the same time to raising objections against your own person, in order to improve your state. In this way, you will eliminate these two doubts. Indeed:

1. Each person has the right and the power to make a moral cheshbon hanefesh*. In this way, these objections will really be justified.

2. The Tanya* explains, and the Rambam* also says, that each person has the right and is capable of mastering himself and submitting himself.

...ועיקר העיקרים שאין כדאי לבלות הזמן בטענות על אחרים כיון ששתי ספיקות בדבר: א) אם צודק בטענותיו. ב) אם גם צודק הוא אם יצליח בזה, כי הבחירה ביד השני שלא לשמוע בקולו, משא"כ אם יתן זמן זה על הטענות לעצמו לשפר מצבו הוא, הרי ספיקות הנ"ל מבוטלים כי, א) הרשות והיכולת נתונה לכאו"א לעשות חשבון צדק בנפשו ובמילא הרי יהיו הטענות צודקות, ב) ע"פ המבואר בתניא ונפסק ג"כ ברמב"ם הרשות והיכולת ביד כאו"א למשול על עצמו און פאלגען זיך...
