To my relative, the Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,
I am a little worried not to have had your news for a long time. I wanted to telephone you, on several occasions, but your telephone number, in San Francisco, does not respond. Doubtless, all is going well.
It is said that the Raza[2] considered that it was unnecessary to write a letter. Indeed, if all is going well, what is there to write? Nevertheless, you would tranquilize me by confirming to me that all is going well.
I enclose for you the fascicle of the Rebbe Rashab which appeared recently[3]. It contains a discourse which was pronounced fifty years ago and which I repeated this Shabbos. Its value is great, and it will surely interest you.
On the occasion of the festival of liberation of 19 Kislev, I express to you, as well as to your wife, my wishes of prompt recovery, of good health, and of success in all that concerns you.

מדאיג אותי במקצת, מה שזה זמן רב לא הגיעתני ממנו כל ידיעה, בקשתי לצלצל לו פעמים בטלפון, והנומער בסן פרנציסקה לא ענה, ובטח הכל שלום, וכמו שמספרים על הרז"א נ"ע, להבחל"ח, שהיתה שיטתו שאין צריכים לכתוב מכתבים, ואמר הטעם שאם הכל שלום, הרי מה יש כאן לכתוב, ובכ"ז ירגיעני אם יודיע עד"ז בפירוש.
מוסג"פ הקונטרס שהו"ל לא כבר, מאת כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע חמשים שנה לפני זה, אשר חזרתיו בש"ק, ומכיון שארז"ל דמילתא אלבישייהו יקירא, בטח יעניין אותו.
ולקראת חג הגאולה י"ט כסלו הבע"ל, הנני בזה להביע איחולי לבבי לו ולזוגתו שיחיו לרפואה קרובה לבריאות הנכונה ולהצלחה בעניניהם.
