Greetings and blessings,

I respond to your express letter, which I received with delay, in which you inform me of the state of health of your daughter.

You must consolidate your bitachon* in Hashem. Without a doubt, He will come to your aid and all will go well. It is currently Kislev, the chassidic* month, that of Chanukah, of the victory of the cruse of oil bearing the seal of the Kohen Gadol, the Rebbe of his era, of the victory, many years later, of the Alter Rebbe and, with him, of the chassidim* and of all their descendants, until the coming of Moshiach and even after that.

It is therefore indeed a question of a physical deliverance, in the most literal sense, which permits each one to obtain the health of which he has need. Obviously, it is necessary to consult the doctor and to conform to his prescriptions. By contrast, one must set aside bitterness. Thus, you will observe, with your eyes of flesh, that there is indeed reason to be satisfied and joyful.

I enclose for you the fascicle which has just appeared, and which you will doubtless place at the disposal of the largest number.

I address my blessing on the occasion of the liberation of the Mitteler Rebbe, of that of the Alter Rebbe which we will celebrate in these next days, as well as my greetings to all the chassidim*.

במענה על מכתבו המהיר - שנתקבל באיחור זמן - ובו כותב ע"ד מצב בריאות בתו... תחי'.

הנה צריכים להיות חזקים בבטחונם בהשי"ת אשר בלי שום ספק יעזור השי"ת ויהי' הכל כשורה, ובאשר עתה הוא חדש כסלו, דער חסידישער חדש, בימי החנוכה שנצח פך של שמן שהי' חתום בחותמו של כהן גדול, דער רבי פון יענעם דור, ואחר כמה שנים נצח אדמו"ר הזקן ועמו כל החסידים ויו"ח עד ביאת המשיח וגם אחרי כן, במילא זהו גאולה גם בגשמיות כפשוטו להמשיך בריאות לכל אחד באופן הדרוש לו. מובן מעצמו שצריכים לשמוע להוראת הרופא ולעשות כהוראתו, אבל לשלול לגמרי ענין המרה שחורה, ואז יראו בעיני בשר שיש ממה להיות שבעי רצון ובשמחה.
