of the Lubavitch shul of Toronto, Ontario,

Greetings and blessings,

Taharah*, which takes the form of a good mikveh*, is a fundamental value of the Jewish people. To take part in its construction, to the full measure of one's means, constitutes for each one the most sacred merit.

I learned with pleasure the good news that a mikveh* is being built in your city. It will soon be completed. You will agree with me that a shul in general, and that which is called Anshei Lubavitch in particular, must merit its name by taking a large part in this enterprise.

I am certain that each of those responsible and the members will take a part in all this, to the full measure of their means, by bringing their own contribution and by inviting their friends and acquaintances to do likewise. And know that Hashem does not remain in debt.

With my blessing that each of you be inscribed and sealed for a good year, and in expectation of your good news,
