To the Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Nissan[1],

Greetings and blessings,

A) I duly received your letter of 7 Menachem Av, as also that of the 24th. I thank you for the good news that you announce to me. The studies[2] are going well, and the talmidim* who came there to spend the vacation period are more and more numerous. It is useless to repeat to you once again that one must endeavor to make them pursue their studies at the yeshivah*, even after the vacation.

B) I am sending you two letters for talmidim* of the yeshivah*, and you have been sent, moreover, an extract from the words spoken at the chassidic gathering of the Shabbos during which the month of Elul was blessed. You will surely diffuse it in the manner that befits, in the appropriate places.

You also let me know that it is now your birthday. May Hashem therefore grant you length of days and good years, in all the meanings of the term, with the tranquility of mind and body. May Hashem permit you to inspire in your talmidim* and in your surroundings a spirit of yiras shamayim*, of yiras cheit*. May your efforts be crowned with success and may your talmidim* be chassidim, fearing Hashem and erudite.

This will be a channel and a receptacle more for increasing the blessing and the success in all your communal activities and in your personal preoccupations, as also those of the members of your family. You will conceive, in particular, a Jewish and chassidic satisfaction from all your children.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מז' וכ"ד מנ"א, ות"ח על הבשו"ט אשר הלימוד הולך כדבעי והולכים ומתרבים התלמידים שבאו לימי החופש, ולמותר להעירו עוה"פ על נחיצות ההשתדלות עמהם שישארו ללמוד בקביעות בהישיבה גם לאחר ימי החופש.

ב) מוסג"פ שני מכתבים לתלמידי הישיבה, ונשלח בפ"ע קטע מהר"ד של התועדות דש"ק מברכים חדש אלול, ובטח יפרסמו באופן המתאים ובמקומות המתאימים.

ולקראת ההודעה ע"ד יום ההולדת שלו, הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' לאריכות ימים ושנים טובות עם כל הפירושים מתוך מנוחת הנפש ומנוחת הגוף, יצליח להשפיע על תלמידיו וסביבתו, רוח של יראת שמים ויראת חטא ולראות פרי טוב בעמלו תלמידים חסידים יראי שמים ולמדנים, וזה ישמש צנור וכלי נוסף לתוספת ברכה והצלחה בכל הענינים הכללים והפרטים שלו ושל כל ב"ב שיחיו ובפרט לנחת אידישן נחת חסידישן נחת מכל יו"ח שיחיו.
