Igrot Kodesh · Letter 174 — Yud-Tet Kislev, Rebbe's Health, and Redemption

By the grace of Hashem,

Festival of Liberation, 19 Kislev 5705,

To the honorable chassid,* Hashem-fearing, faithful in his commitment, Rav Y. Kats,[1] Chicago,

I greet you and bless you,

Thank Hashem, my father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita,* is feeling better.[2] May Hashem send him a full recovery soon, and fulfill in him the terms of the verse (Tehillim* 55:19): "He has redeemed my soul in peace, for they were many with me."[3]

I received in its time your letter, in which you ask for a copy of the discourses[4] of the Sukkot* festival. I was unable to fulfill your request until now, for I obtained an example of these discourses only yesterday evening. I am therefore sending you the copy I have. You may read it or copy it as you see fit. I ask you to return it to me afterward as soon as possible.

I conclude by sending you my blessing on the occasion of the Festival of Liberation. Very soon and in our days, we will know the complete redemption. Then my father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita,* will lead us to meet our righteous Moshiach,* with immediate teshuvah* and immediate redemption,
