By the grace of Hashem,

6 Iyar 5712,

Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter, which was not dated, informing me that your wife has agreed to wear a sheitel* [1]. May Hashem grant that she adopt this practice with a joyful heart, that she may, very soon, see with her eyes increased blessing and success in her communal and personal concerns, and that you may have good health and material abundance, you and the members of your family.

Likewise, I was satisfied to learn, from your letter as well, that you study Torah on a fixed basis with Rav .... Furthermore, you now derive more satisfaction from your own studies. From time to time, your pleasure will increase still more, for, as our holy Torah indicates, everything that is bound to kedushah* must be in ascent. There is here an obligation for everyone.

Hashem also acts "measure for measure" [2], and He gives you the means of this ascent in kedushah*, thanks to which you will be less subject to the limits of the world, so that you may satisfy your material needs with less narrowness and barriers. Thus you will be able to devote yourself to Torah, to serve Hashem, and to perform good deeds, with expansiveness of mind and tranquility of body.

With my blessing for success in your sacred mission,

N.B.: As you asked of me, I will read your request for a blessing at the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

שלום וברכה!

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו (בלי הוראת זמן הכתיבה) אשר זוגתו תחי' הסכימה ללבוש שייטל, ויהי רצון מהשי"ת אשר תעשה זאת בלב שמח ובעגלא דידן תראה בעיני בשר תוספת ברכה והצלחה בענינה הן הכללים והן הפרטים בבריאות הנכונה ובפרנסה לו ולכל ב"ב שיחיו.

כן נהניתי לקרות במכתבו אשר קבע שיעור לימוד עם הרה"ח מו"ה... שי' וכן רואה יותר נחת בשיעורים הפרטים שלו, ומזמן לזמן בטח יוסיף נחת בזה וכפסק תורתנו הק' שמעלין בקדש שזהו חיוב על האדם, ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה הרי גם מלמעלה מעלין אותו מדרגא אל דרגא בקדש אשר בדרך ממילא מתמעטים הגבלות העולם הזה עד שאפילו ענינים הגשמים נעשים בלי צמצומים והגבלות כ"כ, ובמילא אפשר לעסוק בתורה ועבודה וגמילות חסדים מתוך הרחבת הנפש ומנוחת הגוף.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתו בקדש.
