To the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem

and whose conduct is filled with emunah*,

I greet and bless you,

I would like to know whether you have good news of the community of Jews originating from Morocco and from the Sefardic countries, from whom one was hoping to receive a contribution for our undertakings in Morocco.

The great Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Binyamin Gorodetzky, arrived from Paris at the end of last week. He was in Morocco a short time ago, and he transmitted to me a detailed account of what we are accomplishing there.

This document brings to the fore two opposing elements. On the one hand, these undertakings receive, baruch Hashem*, great hatzlachah*. On the other hand, means[2] are absolutely necessary in order to pursue the action and enlarge it, to the fullest extent possible.

As is your habit for many years, I hope that you will once again be present with us this Pesach. On this occasion, you shall be able to take cognizance, with more details, of the account of Rav Gorodetzky.

But I speak of all this from now, in the hope that you may, before your trip, contact still the persons mentioned above or even other persons, in order to obtain funds, which will be welcome.

I enclose for you a few copies of my Pesach message which, I hope, will interest you and will be useful to you.

I am also sending you my letters for your brothers, Mr. Mordechai and Mr. Yitzchak. I thank you for kindly conveying them to them.
