To the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem
and devotes himself to communal needs,
HaRav Chaim[1],
I greet and bless you,
I duly received your letter in due course. My reply has been delayed until now, because of my many occupations.
You ask me when the Sefer HaSichos of my father-in-law, the Rebbe[2], whose printing you have committed to financing, will be ready.
This work is practically finished, but, before its publication, I must reread it, in order to correct the errors in it, for these are inevitable when one composes a text from a manuscript. Now, I have much work, due to the very fruitful expansion, baruch Hashem*, of the many yeshivos and Talmud Torah institutions, for the little boys and the little girls, institutions which bear the name of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. All this takes much time and energy.
These institutions exist in Eretz HaKodesh*, in Africa[3] and in Australia. From time to time, new ones are created. In these countries, there are, at present, some sixty yeshivos and Talmud Torah institutions. The considerable work that flows from this does not permit me to reread this work from one end to the other. I therefore do it little by little, according to my availability. It is for this reason that the printing takes time.
But I hope that Hashem shall grant me hatzlachah* in time and that I shall be able to prepare the publication of this book more rapidly than until now. Of course, when I shall have good news in this regard, I shall transmit it to you.
I conclude by wishing you good health, as well as the members of your family, and a kosher and joyous Yom Tov of Pesach.
P. S.: I enclose for you a copy of my letter, addressed to all, on the occasion of Pesach[4]. It would doubtless be good for you to disseminate it in the appropriate manner.
