By the grace of Hashem,

To the Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem

and devotes himself faithfully to communal needs,

HaRav Yochanan[1], the shochet*,

I greet and bless you,

I have received with satisfaction the first contributions to the maos chittin*[2], whose collection my father-in-law, the Rebbe, entrusted to you. When a tzaddik*, particularly a chief of Yisrael, delegates a shlichus* to a Jew, he also brings him the necessary forces to carry it out in the best way, both for the shlichus itself and for the one who assumes it. Of course, the latter draws from this a better moral health and, consequently, a better physical health.

As if it were necessary, I would like to add my own brachah*[3] that you and the members of your family celebrate, in good health, the Pesach which approaches, in a kosher and joyous manner. You shall know long days and good years. You shall conceive, with your wife, much nachas*, a Jewish and chassidic nachas, from all your children.

You shall assume your sacred shelichuyos* for many years, that of shochet as that of collector for the causes[4] that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, entrusted to you.

With my brachah for all good and for a kosher and joyous Yom Tov of Pesach,

בנועם הגיעו לידי התרומות הראשונות מקופת מעות חטים אשר גבייתם נמסרה לידו ע"י כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע וידוע אשר צדיק ובפרט נשיא בישראל כאשר מוסר לאיש הישראלי איזה שליחות הנה ביחד עם השליחות נותן לו ג"כ כחות הדרושים למלאות השליחות באופן היותר טוב הן לגבי השליחות והן לגבי השליח, ומובן מזה אשר עי"ז מתוסף להשליח בריאות ברוחניות ובד"מ גם בריאות בגשמיות.

וכיהודא ועוד לקרא הנני בזה לצרף גם ברכתי שביחד עם כל ב"ב שיחיו מתוך בריאות הנכונה יחוגו את חג הפסח הבע"ל בכשרות ובשמחה ובאריכות ימים ושנים טובות יקבלו הוא וזוגתו שיחיו רוב נחת אידישן נחת חסידישן נחת מכל יו"ח שיחיו, ושנים רבות יעמוד על מש[מ]רתו בקדש הן בתור שו"ב והן בתור גבאי באותן הענינים שמינהו עליהם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר.
