By the grace of Hashem,

To the leaders of the municipality of Kfar Chabad,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 28 Nissan. From it I learned with satisfaction that you have succeeded in obtaining permission to retain your present location[1]. You shall therefore remain all together, and you shall surely obtain, even if you do not state it clearly, all the rights that were promised you when you settled in Kfar Chabad.

Furthermore, the moment has come to multiply the number of inhabitants of Kfar Chabad, by the settlement of other chassidim* or of those who are close to the spirit of Chassidus* and find themselves currently in Eretz HaKodesh*. This concerns, in particular, young couples, and also the young men who, for various reasons, cannot devote the entire day to study in the Lubavitch Yeshiva[2]. These, nevertheless, can engage themselves and acquire the merit of devoting a few hours to this study, of living in a chassidic environment, all day long and even during the night.

Given the housing difficulties that currently exist in Eretz HaKodesh, there is good hope that you will be able to choose the best from among those who shall wish to settle in the Kfar.

With my brachah* of hatzlachah* in your sacred shlichus*, and that Hashem cause you to feel not only by your nefesh haElokis*, but also by logic, that you have the merit of taking part in the work of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, to build the sanctuary of Chabad in Eretz HaKodesh[3].

במענה על מכתבם מכ"ח ניסן, שמחתי לקרות בו אשר עלתה בידם ההשתדלות לפעול שישארו במקומם עתה, ובמילא יהיו כולם ביחד, ובטח, אף שאין כותבים עד"ז בפירוש, שיהי' הלהם כל הזכיות שהבטיחו להם בעת שהתיישבו בכפר חב"ד.

ב) כבר באה העת להשתדל להרבות מספר המתיישבים בהכפר, מבין שאר אנ"ש והקרובים לאנ"ש ברוח, הנמצאים באה"ק ת"ו, ובפרט מהצעירים הנשואים, וגם מבני הנוער, אשר מפני סיגות אינם שייכים ללמוד כל היום, בישיבת תומכי תימים, אבל אפשר לחייב אותם ולזכותם בלימוד איזה שעות ובחיים של סביבה חסידותית חב"דית כל היום כולו, לרבות הלילה. ובקשר עם הדוחק בדירות השורר באה"ק ת"ו יש לקוות שהברירה תהי' בידם לבחור עידית מבין אלו שירצו להתיישב בהכפר...

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתם בקדש, ויזכם השי"ת זיי זאלן דערפילען לא רק בהנפה"א כ"א גם בשכל האנושי, אשר זיכם השי"ת להיות מהמסייעים ומשתתפים בעבודתו של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בבנין היכל חב"ד באה"ק ת"ו.
