Igrot Kodesh · Letter 1458 — Communal Affairs

By the grace of Hashem,

16 Adar 5712,

To the great Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

HaRav B. G.[1],

I greet and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 5 Adar. I learned with pain that the beis hamidrash* for rabbanim has been called Beis Yosef Yitzchak. I am surprised that I was not told of this in advance.

In the future, this mosad* must remain without a name, as was the case previously, during the lifetime of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, in this world, while he was aware of it[2]. If this is impossible, it shall be called Oholei Yosef Yitzchak[3], but the first solution[4] is to be preferred.

You have surely received my telegram on the occasion of Purim, and you have circulated it in the settlements[5]. I await good news of the chassidic farbrengens* of Purim.

במענה על מכתבו מיום ה' אדר, נצטערתי כי קראו את ביהמ"ד לרבנים כו' בשם "בית יוסף יצחק", ולפלא שלא הודיעוני מקודם עד"ז.

ובנוגע להבא, הנה יש להשאיר את המוסד בלי שם, כמקודם, כמו שהי' בחיי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בעלמא דין ובידיעתו , או לקראו בשם "אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש". והא' טוב יותר.

בטח נתקבל בהמברק שלי לפורים ופירסמו בין הקיבוצים, והנני מצפה לשמוע טובות מההתועדות דפורים וכו'.
